Melissa Mathison (born June 3, 1950) is an American screenwriter.
She is most famous for writing the screenplays for the films E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial and Kundun, a film about the Dalai Lama. Mathison was the second wife of Harrison Ford.

Two children with Harrison Ford: son, Malcolm Ford and daughter, Georgia.
