Besides books fm bookstore/library, u can try some other ways.
- Reading. Chinese newspaper is another good consideration. Better keep reading daily. I ' d recommend u to peruse those special columns in the newspaper supplement. There r little essays with sophisticated writing. U can jote down any impressive vocabs. It ' s an inspiration for your writing skill.
- Asking. Any of your friends hv good command in Chi? If no, u can work out by yourself, ie. the online dictionary. Recommend a web site dictionary for u.

- Studing. During this Summer vacations, advance to study the books of Chinese subject. Not yet to get the book list? Even review your old Chinese book, exercises, references are beneficial.
Yes, no short cuts. But, if u persist & focus, little by little, u will surely make progress.

Tks the great support by Kiki though the passage sounds rather platitude. As for other reply by Eric, I do think that it is much efficient but it needs money.

If you are really frustrated, you should go to some tutorial schools to enroll in Chinese language courses instantly. Indeed, mastering Chinese language is not easy and it is sometimes much difficult than learning English. I think the skills in examination are of paramount importance. Don't worry... if you can master the skills in external exam, passing Chinese Language in public exam is okay. So, please go to the tutorial centres to grab the course outlines and getting a pass in Chinese Language is not as difficult as you have imagined.
