地鐵車站問題

點解地鐵要有地面站同地下站呀?
仲有~點解彩虹站有3條路軌~
但係就淨係用側邊嗰條路軌而唔用中間嗰條路軌呀?
(我唔要聽鬼故~唔好講鬼故俾我聽呀~鬼故我都聽過~)

A1:因為地下有時不能建車站,車站要建在地面。
Q2:點解彩虹站有3條路軌,但係就淨係用側邊嗰條路軌而唔用中間嗰條路軌呀?
A2:因為中間嗰條路軌係返?。

In fact, the previous system is that to have a East Kowloon Line and this track is preserved for that line. However, the line was suspended. So, this track is now for in and out from / to the Kowloon Bay Depot, emergency platform (when the train has to go back to the depot) or trains from the depot will usually stop at this platform first.
The normal train will not use this platform but if there's maintenance at the normal platforms or special reasons.

The reason they use the platform beside but not the centre, because the train is difficult the corss that crossover, and maybe will block the train from/to the depot.

當初規劃地鐵系統時是有四條線的,並不只是現在的荃灣線、觀塘線和港島線,而第四條線便是東九龍線 (現稱沙田至中環線,簡稱沙中線)。地鐵當年規劃的東九龍線在鑽石山站與觀塘線交匯,這個神秘空間便是預留給該線使用的,避免在興建該線時對現有的列車運作造成影響。

在東九龍線建成後,鑽石山站將會設有四個島式月台和五條路軌,從北至南起計,第一、五條軌將為東九龍線所使用 ; 而第二、四條軌將為現時之觀塘線所使用 ; 而中間的路軌 (即現時觀塘線往油麻地方向之路軌) 則作為過線之用,列車可利用這條路軌來往東九龍線與觀塘線。而該路軌亦會一直伸延至現時彩虹站的中央路軌,以連接通往九龍灣車廠的軌道。
