1.Amy has 6400cm3 fine sand. She puts it evenly in a rectangular container. The length and width of the container are 80cm &32cm respectively. Find the depth of the sand in the container.
2.A cubical tank of side 10cm has water to a depth of 5cm. After 50 identical marbles are put in the water, the depth of the water becomes 6cm. Find the volume of each marble.

1. Let the depth of the sand in the container be y cmthen 80 x 32 x y = 6400
y = 2.5
2. let the volume of each marble be y cm3
then 50 x y = 10 x 10 x (6-5)
y = 2

6400cm3/80cm/32cm
=80/32
=2.5cm
2.The volume of each marble
[10cm*10cm*(6cm-5cm)]/50marbles
=100/50
=2cm3
6400cm3/80cm/32cm
=80/32
=2.5cm
2.The volume of each marble
[10cm*10cm*(6cm-5cm)]/50marbles
=100/50
=2cm3
