knee pain

I am not so sure if i have just a joint pain or more than that. Some of the doctors told me wear and tear of my joint and one said i have rheumatism.
One thing is sure about it ,is that I do not like cold air blowing at my knee, as it hurt.
When weather was cold for weeks or more, i will have problem climbing up the stairs.
So beside taking glucosamine with chondroitin plus fish old omega 3 , is there anything that help to relief the pain?
更新1:

I am 30 yrs old. I started to have this problem in the earlier 20s

If you are in age >40, your likely diagnosis would be osteoarthritis. But it must be made after examination or even x-ray.

Generally, you can take glucosamine with chondroitin - which could relieve some of the pain.
Other recommendation is
weight reduction
consider use of aids(that's why elderly lady hold umbrella)
Exercise e.g. swimming
If the pain is severe, you may need to consult your doc for prescribion of NSAID medications
If age >50, and pain is severe, total knee replacement surgery is recommended for the those severely affected.

Hope it could help you!
