where is the best place for changing money from RMB to SGD?

2 places you can find good exchange rates - Woodlands Central (The Old one) or you can try Goldern Mile.

However, unless you are exchanging tens of thousands or more it may not be worth your while to travel all over to find the exchange rate.

One little trick I have learned is to go around money changers in woodlands and offer to buy SGD from people who wants to exchange. I usually give them a fair deal by exchanging at mid point

eg Rate 2.3RM to 1SGD to sell
2.1RM to 1SGD to buy

I will exchange with the people at 2.2RM to 1SGD everyone is happy except the money changer :)

There is one at Northpoint - Yishun, and one at Lot 1 - Choa Chu Kang. They give pretty good exchange rates. And yes, woodlands money changers are good for Malaysia Ringgits, but I'm not sure about RMB. The ones at Northpoint and Lot 1 gives good rates for all types of currencies.

I think LOT 1 Shopping centre/at Choa Chu Kang (basement) has a good rate. Often I change there, its rate is better compare to those at Clementi/BT Batok/ and Town side
