=360
(b) the number of girls
= 800 - 360
= 440
Question 2:
(a) discount = marked price - selling price
= $50 - $36
= $14
(b) There is a loss.
The loss = cost price - selling price
=$40 -$36
=$4
(c) the loss percentage
= 4/40 X 100%
=10%
(d) the percentage of the price marked up
= ($50 - $40) / $40 X 100%
= 25%
