There are composers who the contemporaries of him, such as : Joseph Haydn, Beethoven's teacher; Johann Nepomuk Hummel, a pupil of Mozart, pianist-virtuous, composer; Luigi Cherubini, italian composer, famous by his operas, church, chamber works; Franz Liszt, Antonin Reicha, Jan Ladislav Dussek, Carl Maria von Weber and others.
