萬維網 is World Wide Web, that is the web site we commonly browse through every day in the internet.

There are many different type of web pages we have seen every day. Some is static only while others are dynamic. Those dynamic web pages have made use of various kind of world wide web technology 萬維網技術. For example, the flash graphics, chat room and message bulletin board using cgi programs, and many others.

何為萬維網?

『國際萬維網』即World Wide Web，簡稱WWW。相算不少人都聽過這個名字，亦因為它而使用『互聯網』服務的。


萬維網是由許多萬維網站所構成, 而每一個萬維網站可以由許多萬維網頁或簡稱網頁所組成。網頁通常包含彩色背景和文字, 甚至有多媒體的信息。


網頁的內容通常是以超文本標示語言 (HTML) 編寫的超文本 (hypertext) 組成, 並透過超文本傳輸協議 (http) 接收和傳送。


網頁具備超連結 (hyperlink) 的功能。每個網頁可以連結到同一網站其他網頁, 又可以連結到其他相關網站的網頁。


要使用萬維網便必須使用網頁瀏覽器 (web browser)。萬維網的瀏覽器以圖形化的界面為主, 再配合一些多媒體附加播放程式(plug-in), 便可以觀看圖片、動畫、電影,以及聆聽聲音等。
