(b) $20 is increased by 50%
2.Find the percentage decrease in each of the following cause:
(a)A decrease from 60 to 45
(b)A decrease from $8 to $6
3.The monthly salary of an engineer is $9500.This is increased by 8% after a year.By hoe much is his monthly salary increased in the second year?

1(a) 10 x (1+ 20%) = 10 x 1.2 = 121(b) 20 x (1+ 50%) = 20 x 1.5 = $30
2(a) % decreased = (60 - 45)/60 x 100% = 25%
2(b) % decreased = (8 - 6)/8 x 100% = 25%
3. monthly salary increased = $9500 x 8% = $760
4. % decrease = (8800 - 7744)/8800 x 100% = 12%
5. % profit = 9000/450000 x 100% = 2%
