1.The boiling point and meiting point of mercury are about 357'C and -39'C.Find the difference in temperature between its boiling point and melting point.
2.Two lifts A and B start at the same floor.Lift A goes up 5 floors,while lift B goes down 4 floors.How many floors are they apart now?

1. The difference:
= 357 - (-39)
= 357 + 39
= 396 'C
2. They are apart:
= 5 + 4 / = 5 - (-4)
= 9 floors
= 357 - (-39)
= 357 + 39
= 396 'C
