For HK to London direct flight, apart from Virgin, BA, there are also Cathay, Qantas, Air New Zealand. Personally, I prefer Qantas because the service is not bad and flight is quite comfortable. For in-direct flight, you can choose from KLM, Luftansa, Swiss Air, Air China, JAL, SIA, MAS, Emirates..etc.

If you are travelling to lincoln, I suggest you can take HK - Manchester direct with Cathay or in-direct flight to manchester instead of Hong Kong to London. Lincoln is nearer from Manchester or otherwise, it will take 4-5 hours by car to reach Lincoln from London.
