借閱龍虎榜 的英文
上面網友以 Billboard 作為 ‘龍虎榜’, 著實有些冒險。Billboard 指 Billboard charts, 是美國歷史悠久的流行曲排行榜, 但這個專有名詞未見借用於其他範疇作普通名詞用, 例如圖書館等大機構的正式通告更不會隨便使用這樣的字。
“借閱龍虎榜” 我會譯 A Ranking for Most Borrowed Items；如果一定要指出是 ‘閱讀’ 項目, 可以譯 A Ranking for Most Borrowed Reading Items。

Ranking (noun)= the position of something on a scale that shows how good or important they are in relation to other similar things (Oxford Advanced Learner's Dict.), 即 ‘排行榜’。
Items 較 books 好, 因為 items 不一定是書籍, 也包含書本以外的其他資料。
