I have a PS3 and I am really enjoying it, but Wii is coming out with better stuff. Did I make a smart buy?

Hey there I have 360 and PS3 and I'll tell you straight up that PS3 is awesome.

All the best games (with exception to Halo 3) are coming out on PS3 this year and for that matter next year too.

My friend had a Wii and he got rid of it already because frankly, it gets boring fast. Especially if you are a "gamer". The Wii is mostly party games and juvenile games. Its graphics and games are clearly geared towards a younger age group. I would take a PS2 or a Xbox (original) over a Wii still.

Trust me you did not make the wrong decision. The Wii is a fad because it is so cheap and looks cute. In a years time 360 and PS3 will be laughing at its weak games. You should see the difference in sound and visuals. It makes the Wii look like a joke.

o no ma man...ps3 is the best thing out ther , you dont get all the games u get in ps3 on wii , also ps3 is comin out wid a lotta stuff 1 of which i heard was a glove which functions like the remote of the wii , u made the smart choice by buyin a ps3...thumbs up............

yup agree with u player but i aint giving up my ps3 fo no damn wii! but ill still buy it though cause its cheap n has some cool games, u didnt make a mistake buddy.. wii dont even have hdmi output or reads blue rays so just avoid buyin couple ps3 games n get the wii..also try ebay for ps3 games might save a good 20 bucks on many titles on already :)

You made a great choice. The PS3 has better graphics and comes with the blu ray player that sony is selling by itseld for $700.00!!!! It like you got it for free. The games for PS3 are way better than the ones for the Wii.

you made a good investment because the ps3 is here to stay well until the ps4. anyways as far as the wii goes not to ditch it but the games coming out example mario galaxy and metroid are going to be the hype for the game and that it remember all the other console had mario and after that it wasn't that great it think they should of stop with the nintendo 64 after that they went downhill but anyways wii isn't going to last to much longer after they quit making games....every game developers is going to focus more on the ps3 and xbox 360 for example gta4, lair, assasin creed and alot more to mention on here...so don't worry you made the right investment so just wait until the holidays and you will see that you are going to want to smack yourself for asking this question...i'll email you in january to remind you..haha just j/k

yes! You made a really good choice! The wii in time will fail because it's just not next gen. People like it now but in time, the sales will go down. Playstation are a more advanced company than Nintendo and allways have something better. So in the long run, PS will win like they did last time!

the wii does have more games.but it is tuff to say that which games are better .each game sis gud on its own platform.just wait for a few more months.asassin's creed burnout paradise gta 4 n others are on its way .buying the ps3 is a decent choice of yours counting that u like high end gaming (graphics) n not just waving yor hand around.the will was developed for kids.
in the meantime enjoy the ps2 games on i n ipod or psp if u have 1

Well I own a Xbox 360 & I was thinking buying a 2nd game console either PS3 or Wii. The Sony PS3 it is a very good game console & there are good games coming out soon for PS3. Not only that, you have a freak'n Blu-ray dvd drive that is worth $1,000. If you really want the Wii, then I think you should buy it. Why not? The Wii it only cost $250 & the Wii games are not that expensive then comparing the PS3 or 360 games. I hope it helps & just remember that the Wii does NOT support HD. Which means the graphics are standard picture.

The Wii has a lower bar to play - if you can wave your arms around and now, move your legs around - you can start playing instead of guessing if right-rght-b-up is to raise your arm.

Nintendo has the big long standing franchises and companies like EA are going to add fun stuff like in madden, you throw like you're throwing a real football ... but ultimately, it comes down to the games.

In 3 years, Wii probably isn't going to match PS3 game for game since they really aim for different markets. The Wii is great for holidays and having people over because EVERYONE from 3-83 can jump in and start playing while the PS3 is geared towards online and a commitment to learning and playing.

The Wii is already great - the PS3 will need a little more time to be great but I have no doubt in 3 years, PS3 will have the software. Think of Ps3 as the movie theater and Wii as HDTV. Both will give ou thousands of hours of fun and are great in their own way.

I think sony 3 has some really good games and much more on the way. But it all comes down to what you like. Have you played a wii the controller is not always a good thing sometimes it does not help much or sucks or is not even used in the game.

PS3 has some very good games coming and sense its much more powerful then the wii over time games for the PS3 or xbox360 will look and feel a lot better then the wii.

I got a wii first because the PS3 needed some debugging before I would buy it and the price is killer. Soon I will get a PS3. Wii has Zelda , Mario Type/Party Type, super smash bros , Metroid ,RE4 Wii edition and a few others as its big thing when PS3 and Xbox360 have Elder scrolls 4 , GTA 4 , Armored core 4 , Final Fantasy 13 and many things not to come out yet.

hm, well i'd say that playstation 3 doesnt really have anything else EXTRAORDINARY to offer, but the wii has physical activities which is very fun :]

on the other hand, the wii graphics isn't that great.
and the ps3 graphics is mostly equal to of the xbox 360

so it mostly depends on the lazy people or the active people
