Youth Christian School is a private, Baptist, co-ed school in Powder Springs, Georgia. The school is an active member of the Georgia Association of Christian Schools and American Association of Christian Schools. Located to the west of downtown Atlanta, it has a 5-star overall parent rating. School hours are from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. Dress code and school uniforms are required. Eighty percent+ graduates go to 4-year colleges/universities after graduation. Some of the world famous universities in the area include: Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Mercer University, and Georgia State University.

Living within the metro area of Atlanta, Georgia is just as marvellous as living in any other major cities in the US. Shopping opportunites, restaurants, attractions, and nightlife are plentiful. Atlanta attractions include the CNN Center, Georgia Aquarium, the New World of Coca-Cola, and Six Flags over Georgia. Atlanta chinatown is also within reach and it serves the ethnic needs of ~50,000 Chinese Americans in the city.

Any major airlines (NorthWest, USAir, Delta, Continental, AA, United) can fly you from San Francisco (SFO) to the international airport in Atlanta (ATL). In particular, the Atlanta airport is the hub of Delta Airlines. After arrival in Atlanta, a rental car is a must for the ease of getting around/transportation among all the major attractions within the metro area of Atlanta and also to and from the Youth Christian School.
