有d動詞, 用to-infinitive 同gerund 意思上係冇分別既:
begin, can’t bear, can’t stand, continue, hate*, like*, love*, prefer, start
It began to rain = It began raining.
I can’t bear smoking = I can’t bear to smoking anymore.
* would + hate/like/love 多數跟 to-infinitve
例: He would love to join the party.

She forgot to post the letter to John.
forget doing something 多數係要加never同用future tense, 係唔會唔記得做一樣野
forget to do something = 剛剛唔記得做一d野
If you go on complaining about the dinner, I will take it away.
After Nick had called the ambulance, he went on to phone the police.
go on doing something
= keep住做一樣野, 不停做
go on to do something = 做完A做B, 你就會話after I did A, I went on to do B
I regret telling her the secret.
I regret to tell you that you have failed the test.
regret doing something = 後悔做左一d野
regret to do something = 完全唔同意思, 多數係話regret to tell you, regret to inform you, 多數係通知一d壞消息既時候用.
I remember seeing John for the first time.
I must remember to see John as soon as possible.
remember doing sth. = 記得做過某某事
remember to do sth. = 未做既, remind自己一定要記得做即將要做既事

stop doing something = 以後唔再做一樣野
stop to do something = 本身做緊A, 停低去做B
