A pipe P can fill a swimming pool in 5 hours. When pand another pipe Q are turned on together, the pool is filled in 3 hours. How long would Q alone take to fill the pool?

Let Q alone needs x hours to fill the pool . ( 1 / 5 ) + ( 1 / x ) = 1 / 3
1 / x = 2 / 15
x = 7.5
So Q alone needs 7.5 hours to fill the pool.
