solve the following equations.
(1)0.2x一3=一0.3x+1
(2)5times a number is greater than 3 times the number by 4.find the number

(1) 0.2x - 3 = -0.3x + 1
=> 0.2x + 0.3x = 1 + 3
=> 0.5x = 4
=> x = 4/0.5
=> x = 8

(2) Let x be the number
5x - 3x = 4
=> 2x = 4
=> x = 4/2
=> x = 2

1) 0.2x - 3 = -0.3x + 1
0.2x+0.3x = 4
0.5x = 4
x = 8

2) Let A be the unknown
5A - 3A = 4
2A = 4
A = 2
