3rd Honour畢業能在香港讀master?

If you want to study for a Masters degree in HKU, CU and HKUST, you will have a greater chance if you have a 2nd Class Honours. For other universities, it depends on the competition for a place, demand and supply, etc.

I assume you have already looked at the MSc in Marketing Management at PolyU. If you follow

it says you should have a Bachelors degree or equivalent under Entrance Requirements. It does not say what class of honours.

However, I also completed my MSc in the Graduate School of Business at PolyU (not in marketing) and I know what kind of students they are looking for. They will want you to talk about your working experience in the interview and are looking for students with a variety of marketing experience and exposure who can share among other students during their studies. In other words, if they interview 200 candidates, they would prefer some new students from Industry A, some from Industry B, some from Industry C, and so on.

So you have to ask yourself how many years of marketing experience you have. You will have a greater chance if you have over 5 years, or even better with 10 years, of experience. If you do not have a lot of marketing experience but you completed your Bachelors degree in PolyU, you may also have a good chance. Secondly, have you been working for large organisations with a reputation of marketing? If you have been working for multinationals like IBM, Procter & Gamble, etc., you will also have a good chance.

Remember, if you want to study for a Masters degree in Hong Kong, your working experience for sharing is more important than your undergraduate results. Good luck!

Normally, you should have at least 2nd upper honour in order to be admitted to a good university for Master degree programs.

However, if you have some related working experience, you may still be considered even if you got 3rd honour in your undergrad studies.
