On 14th June, our school organized an annual sports day in Kowloon Bay Sports Standium . It's so lucky that the event was able to hold since it had been heavy rain for several days. It was not too far to walk fhere from the MTR station. I was very excited because I had joined the reply race. I had the chance to participate also instead of just watching.
Honestly, I did not want to join any races in the first place. Since the school made it a must that every student must join at least one race, I would miss the chance to be part of the runners in such a large standium. I must thank the school for I really enjoyed the whole process of practising and racing. It's fun and new experience for me. Although I sweated a lot, I did not get the first or second prize in that race. I came third (fourth or did not win any prize). I came to the understanding why some students love sports so much, more than studying. I enjoyed being a racer and viewer. I clapped loudly for the people who won. SInce the school didn't allow us to leave early, all of us had to stay there until four o'clock in the afternnoon.
Because I am part of the relay race runner, I felt that relay race was the most exciting races for the whole day. In fact, I love to watch the races because there were more people running in the track and more exciting each time one runner connects with another. Running fast for one person was not enough to win the game. Every runner had to work hard too.
