The Matroska multimedia container formats were derived from a project called MCF, but differ from it significantly because it is based on EBML (Extensible Binary Meta Language), a binary derivative of XML. EBML enables future format extensibility, without breaking file support in old parsers. This is a container, not a CODEC. Get the parser from the Matroska site. MKV is the typical extension for a Matroska video file, it may contain several video tracks (in most cases only one), as well as several audio and subtitles tracks, in various formats. 第二則是正確顯示外掛字幕檔中的繁體中文字。因為KMPlayer預設的字幕編碼是韓文(沒 辦法，誰叫它是韓國人寫的)，所以掛上繁體中文字幕時會顯示成亂碼；只要按一下鍵盤上的「F2」鍵呼叫出設定視窗，展開「Subtitles Processing(字幕處理)」選項，然後將「Font(字體)」內的「CharSet(編碼)」改成「CHINESEBIG5」，字幕檔中的繁體中 文字就能正常顯示了！
