If the money supply expand but the economy's productivity or goods supply has no change, then the purchasing power of money will decrease accordingly.

Purchasing Power decrease will lead to Inflation (i.e. general price level reflected by goods' prices will increase) and then Interest Rates for both long term and short term may also increase.

Interest Rate is a very critical econimical factor. Once interest rate increased, you may see a series of economical consequence, such as stock market downturn, unemployment rate starts to increase, etc.

Of course, the above analysis is one side of the potential consequence generally believed by the demand pull economic theory believers.

However, a quite opposite economical consquences may appear according to some other theories.

After all, you should bear in mind that economic analysis and projection is based on a lots of assumptions and any one of the smallest factor change may have big impact on the overall end result.
