When blood glucose level rises, the pancreas secretes insulin, and as a result blood glucose level declines. When blood glucose level is low, the pancreas secretes glucagon, and as a result bloodd glucose level rises. Such regulation of blood glucose level is the result of what?

The answer is D. Negative feedback.

Negative feedback refers to a factor in our body which deviates the normal level, then a mechanism is switched on to make the level normal again. Then the mechanism is switched off.

When blood glucose level rises, the pancreas secretes more insulin and less glucagon, then the blood glucose level declines. Then the insulin concentration and glucagon concentration in blood becomes normal again. This is negative feedback.

For A, this is not a catalatic activity as insulin and glucagon are hormones. They send out message for the target organ for functioning.
