兩個詞語only...

Solve 只可以係verb,而且只有一個 meaning, 就係 解決 (問題)
而Resolve就有多個意思, 可以係verb同noun
如果係noun, 解 決心
多數會講某某made a firm resolve to或not to 做一樣野
如果係verb, 可以解:
1. 解決
2. 投票表決
3. 化學分解
4. 決定
我唔一個一個講喇,因為你話唔好copy字典...
不過我想explain一下solve同resolve如果都係用作 解決(問題)既時候有咩分別,我諗你係最想知這個


Solve 係 find a solution, come to an answer 有搵到答案既意思
我地會講:
solve a problem
solve a puzzle
solve a mystery
solve a situation
Resolve 係 settle a difficult 其實冇話搵到個答案架,意思上,只係令到你走出困境,個問題唔再係問題
所以你冇理由話resolve a puzzle, resolve a mystery
但係你可以話:
resolve a matter
resolve the situation
resolve a doubt
resolve a difficulty
你應該明solve果個 解決 同resolve果個 解決 係唔同的
就係咁喇~

不過如果想知resolve (verb)既其他意思, 我都post一些example啦:

投票表決
The committee resolved on/against appointing a new secretary
化學分解
Chemical compounds can be resolved by heat into smaller molecules

決定
He resolved on/against going out

首先,
resolve 係 noun,verb + verb to be...

solve 係 verb.
e.g.
1. I solve the problem.
= answer, clear up ,decipher ,decode, explain ,figure out ,work out

resolve:
1.He resolved on/against an early start..
2.The mixture resolves into three substances
=decide ,determine ,settle
