1.If holding Hong Kong (SAR China) passport, visa not required
provided holding:
- valid tickets and entry documents for onward destination
(if travelling on special rate air fares confirmed onward
ticket required); and
- sufficient funds.

2.In all other cases:
a. If transiting to/from Cook Isl., Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall
Isl., Nauru, New Caledonia, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Isl.,
Tahiti, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu or Vanuatu:
transit visa required (except if holding entry visa for
New Zealand or if continuing to Australia and holding
current visa for Australia).
b. In all other cases: visa not required provided:
- continuing to a third country by same or connecting
aircraft within 24 hours; and
- holding ticket with reserved seat; and
- all documents required for onward journey; and
- not leaving the airport transit lounge.
