xanga受分散式阻斷服務攻擊的影響以致出現上不到xanga的情況，
分散式阻斷服務攻擊主要是指:
1. 利用網路上已被攻陷的電腦作為主要感染媒體，向某一特定的目標電腦發動密集式的「拒絕服務」要求 (情況如xanga 的 "The page you requested was not found")，藉以把目標電腦的網路資源及系統資源耗盡，使之無法向真正正常請求的用戶提供服務。
2. 使網路過載來干擾甚至阻斷正常的網路通訊，占用大量網路資源，以達到癱瘓網路的目的。
