Pocket watches are often kept on a chain in a pocket.As one walks along, watch will begin to swing back and forth. Careful observers have said when this happens, watch may no longer be accurate. Is this true?why or why not?

A. True. Swinging watch case may have oscillation frequency near or equal to frequency of watch balance wheel.

B. True. Swinging watch case increased kinetic energy of watch.

C. False,Swinging watch case does not effect oscillation of balance wheel at all.

Coz it's about a concept of relative motion. We should treat the pocket watch as a whole unit. Every part inside the pocket watch exert the same force with same direction at every time interval. Therefore, the whole movement of the pocket watch won't affect the oscillation of balance wheel located inside the watch.
