中式菜刀的英文寫法???

有外國朋友教 meat-cleaver;
但可否用 chop 呢?
chopper 在字典中解作 helicopter 的 informal 用法
咁其實 chopper 又可否代表菜刀呢?

中式菜刀 = Chinese cleaver (美國人常用)
對﹗chopper 在字典中解作 helicopter 的 informal 用法. 香港人叫菜刀做 chopper﹐ 外國人會明白其意思,﹐ 但覺得有點兒怪﹐所以 Chinese cleaver 比較好。
