Yes it will. Perfume is made up of 98% alcohol. When perfume is applied to the body the alcohol will vapourise, bring out the smell of the perfume. The alcohol also acts as a perservative and stabiliser. If you leave the perfume standing for a long time, or forgot to replace the lid tightly, or expose the perfume to direct sunlight, the alcohol will vapourise and its perserving and stabilising effect will degrade, making the perfume go "bad".
