水銀就係一個好例子喇~
水銀又名汞，是一種化學元素（原子序：80，化學符號：Hg）。水銀在常溫下唯一的液體金屬元素。在工業上，水銀主要用於是氯鹼工業 (chlor-alkali industry) 透過電解食鹽水 (electrolysis of brine) 生產氫氧化鈉 (sodium hydroxide) 及氯氣 (chlorine)。水銀用於家庭用品如體溫計、紅藥水、殺蟲劑和舊式微波爐等。其他用途包括水銀燈 (mercury lamp)、鈕型水銀電池 (mercury oxide cell)、乳膠漆、氣壓計、血壓計和牙醫用作補蛀牙的物料等。為何會「水銀瀉地」？
如不慎打破水銀探熱針，水銀會即時湧出形成水銀滴，這是由於水銀的表面張力大 (large surface tension) 的緣故。水銀的表面張力比水的表面張力高七倍，一杯水倒在地上時會趨向結集成一灘水的狀態，相反水銀卻會趨向形成水銀滴。

除左水銀之外．．一ｄ有機溶劑都可以無水份既
例如：ether, tetrahydrofuran (THF), 1,1,1-trichloroethane等等

一ｄ有機實驗中要想搵 target product 要絕對在無 water molecule 既環境下發生。
例如一ｄpolymer synthesis 以 cationic living polymerization 所製既 plastic、Grignard reagent's reaction 係 acidic sensitive 會同水 react 變 alkane and hydroxide，even 簡單既 solute extraction using separatory funnel 將 organic compound extract 落 dry organic solvent 等都係一ｄ example...比較常見係 dry ether...

金屬既液體係無水份，都係依然以 giant metallic structure 形式存在，只係 degree of freedom 比一般固體金屬 mobile..
