how do you lose weight quickly?

I weigh 140 right now and I want to get down to 120...I am 5'6 and 120 is the ideal weight for that height, and I have been there before...I want to lose it by September...anyone know some good workout routines?? (that aren't to hard!! lol)

i jump rope like 20 minutes a day...its the kind made for excercise..the handles are a pound each...how many calories do you think im burning..and how many calories do you have to burn to lose weight

ok here the deal:

Replace everything you drink with water, excluding milk. so no soda, Juice, other.

Get up early in the morning and take a half mile walk. then slowly walk a little farther every 2 days or so, drinking plenty of water to replenish you.

Since Water gives no carlories and has no sugar like Gatorade it is healthier for you.


you should lose several pounds doing this. as long as you keep walking farther every morning.

actually im that height and u must be of a smaller body type in general, cuz 140 is my ideal weight, according to EVERYTHING ive been told/read . and you cant judge it all by weight. youre working out and muscle mass weighs more than fat. so you could loose inches without losing a pound. try the southbeach diet. it gets you well balanced and you just cut out mostly carbs and sugars for a couple weeks. then the addictions to those items is a little easier for your body to handle and youre more likely to eat right.

Losing weight quickly is the wrong way to do it.

Count on taking nearly 20 weeks to lose 20lbs. There are lots of good workouts, but if they're too easy you aren't going to benefit.

To be honest, walk more, take the stairs instead of escalators, and do something that gets you out of breathe regularly....

hello, im 5'6 too and im about 140 also, so what i do is just eat less and exercise more. walking and running is very very good for you. take half an hour to an hour and walk around or run. eat healthy snacks a little but often. like every 2 hours.
