Usually, patient after 打石膏 can be discharge but sometimes they need to stay in hospital for few more days either beacuse of
1. need observation e.g. monitoring of the limb circulation
2. need x-ray to confirm good fixation of the bone
3. need walking exercise or rehabiliation in case of lower limb fracture having 打石膏.
4. rarely, the doctor is not an orthopaedic surgeon!
