夾份買禮物 = chip in for a present

既然是朋友，不需要寫得太過 formal ，所以你可以這樣寫:

Our friend xxx gave birth to a 9-pound baby girl last Thursday. We're gonna buy a present for the new mother and baby. Let me know if you want to chip in.

Dear XXX,

(Name of your friend) had got a baby girl born just last Thursday with weight 9 pounds, As I'd like to give a present for her, but who would like to share the gift, please respond by return mail ASAP.

朋友於上星期四生了九磅女兒,我待她用英文出email通知朋友(有外籍人士),亦順便問問朋友誰會夾份買禮物送俾呢位新媽媽,該如何出呢封email好呢?
