It depends what you meant by top boarding school and what is your expectation after sixth form. Are you planning to study in oxbridge (oxford/cambridge)? Even a top school does not guarantee entry to oxbridge. They can help and coach you but at the end of the day, it really depends how smart you are.

Personally, if you are studying at Band 1英中, 校內成績中上, you should not have difficulties getting in a reasonable boarding school with good grades at A-level, which will help you to progress to good university.

Top boarding schools are great but bear in mind the "top" school usually charge 7000+ pounds per term and there are 3 terms per year, which meants minimum 42,000+ pounds for two years plus other expenses such as accomodation during half-term, flight back to HK during holidays.

To me, all-rounder is just a generic term in HK. To be honest, how often do you see "real" all-rounder? I suggest you should polish up your english before any interview with the schools and you will have a better chance to join one of the better schools.
