There is no clue that one cannot be a pilot after having lasik. I think 2 answers from different sources were based on what time the requirement stands for.
Actually, if you are talking about CX, they may employ someone who has undergone lasik now. But one thing you should do within the selection process will be an addition eye-test at you own cost. And you should wait at least about 1-year in order to submit the application. Coz lasik may make one eyesight blur in dark environment, which is not suitable for night flying, but it will recover after some time. So 1-year time is for totally recovery of your eyes.
But I have no idea why one should go through lasik in order to become a pilot, coz only "correctable" 20/20 eyesight should be enough to meet the requirement. Surgery is only putting one in risk. Even lasik is a safe operation, there also very little failure rate. So, please consider in depth before taking any action on this.
