First of all, a parrot doesn't occupy a lot of space in the house due to it's size. Usually it will stay in the hanger which will be hung at the corner. You do not need to have a cage and in return you can also have a closer relation with the parrot.
Secondly, a parrot is a good companion. If you choose a certain species and you have the patience in teaching the parrot, one day you can have a talking parrot. As compared to the dogs and cats, at least you can communicate with the parrot to a certain extent.

2. It can talk. It's interesting to teach the parrot to talk in human language.
