Present Days:
DM: Gattuso - reliable defensive option in front of your backline plus unlimited stamina and harsh tackles
CM: Gerard + Pirlo - with Pirlo lay back a bit and Gerard to take on more attacking responsibility, thus you've got an engine room equipped of creativity, long shots, accute passes and efficiency
RM: Cristiano Ronaldo - can't think of any winger better than him recently, he's just red hot!
LM: Kaka - defiant both legs and also playing superbly last few years. He could even swoop with Cristiano occassionally during the match.
Old Days:
DM: Rijkaard - He's a perfect product from the Ajax Academy: pacey, with strong body, good stamina and positioning. He's the right man to provide further protects to your defence on one hand, and release your attacking options on the field on the other hand.
CM: Redondo - stylish playmaker with plenty to offer: positioning, unbelieveable passes from elsewhere on the pitch, rocket long shots, perfect control of the match rthym.
AM/Trequatista: Roberto Baggio is always top of my list regarding the position "Trequatista" - he's just sensational!!! Remember how he helped Azzuri to the 94 WC final?
RM: Cruyff - He's capable of playing all positions on the pitch (except GK?). The days he played for Ajax and Barca showed not only his incredible skills on the ball but also his intellegience about the match. His existence allowed Redondo to move a bit left to cover when Diego move up to attack.
LM/LW: Maradona - he's one of the football great who could change the match with a touch or a pass or a shoot. Could any other footballer compare with him? I really doubt.
