Photosynthesis - 光合作用
CO₂+ H₂O ------>O₂+ Food(starch)
Respiration - 呼吸作用
O₂+ Food ------> CO₂+ H₂O + Energy

Differences:
1. 光合作用在含葉綠素的綠色植物住行；呼吸作用在任何活細胞(包括植物)進行。
2. 光合作用需要二氧化碳和水；呼吸作用呼出二氧化碳、產生水。
3. 光合作用釋出氧和食物(澱粉)；呼吸作用需要氧和食物。
4. 活細胞在任何時候都進行呼吸作用；但含葉綠素的綠色植物同時需要光能。

樓上：「Produce CO₂ at night」這是不完全正確的。植物之所以在晚上產生CO₂，是因為植物在進行呼吸作用。其實綠色植物除了進行光合作用外，同時在進行呼吸作用。早上光合作用的份量比呼吸作用多，因此光合作用產生的氧比呼吸作用產生的二氧化碳多，植物在呼吸作用產生的二氧化碳會供給自己進行光合作用。但晚上沒有光，植物無法進行光合作用，只進行呼吸作用，產生的二氧化碳無需用作光合作用，因此釋出至空氣。(有少少難明，慢慢思考)
