"As good as it gets" 點解

The situation is as good as it gets.
it gets 用簡單現在式，即係講常理／事實／定律，as good as 即一樣咁好，全句就係「現況同佢可以達到o既（最佳）情況一樣咁好」。即係話好到呢個地步，已經唔可以更好。
如：We can't save the dog's leg. It has to be amputated, but at least it's alive. I guess it's as good as it gets. 唔駛死，夫復何求呢？
但又可以：This is a wonderful party. It is as good as it gets. 個派對好到不能再好，意思又開心好多。
