Theats: - direct competitions from other new launched airlines such as (Oasis, Orinteal, Virgin blue)
- Not all ports in China are open for Cathay to land

國泰制訂策略for未來五年，要注意以下各點:

1）國泰的機師工資太高，比市場高很多。而國泰又沒有決心去從香港自行訓練機師，因此被機師公會玩死。
2）國泰的空姐很喜歡罷工，又係將國泰玩死。
3）國泰英資背景，入大陸發展受阻。搞到要收購港龍才可以玩落去。
4）中國市場很大，國泰可以積極發展。
5）國泰沒有南美洲航線。
6）廉價航空的競爭。
