The truth is - I agree with some of you. The Steak Expert cheaper lunch and set menus are really not tasty. Too much soda-powder flavour for the steaks, and the fish rice is frozen food.

However - most people here only eat the cheaper steaks.

If you order the higher quality steaks such as the US or Canadian PRIME ANGUS steaks, in fact they're one of the best steaks available in Hong Kong, even compared to some hotels.

My rating is as follows:

1) Normal meals/Lunch/Set Dinners under $50 - 3 point out of 10.

2) High Quality steak such as Angus Sirloin, to PRIME grade Sirloins, etc. 9 out of 10.

3) Steak Expert Kobe Beef - this is American variety and is very bad. Misleading as well because it is at best called American Wagyu. 6/10. Waste of money. Go to Mr Steak to have Wagyu instead.

Overall, the only steak I will eat here are the PRIMEs, and the Beef Rib-steak. YUM.
