因為香港係中國十大城市之首，金融業為世界首屈一指，而且係世界金融中心，中國賺錢都係靠佢，你說的經濟強勁，也不是太強勁哦，很多城市才比香港多不知十多倍

Hong Kong is a open city, and is develop towards the outer world. but china is closed to outside, so they need Hong Kong as a place where they could transfer things to other country.

China need hong kong not only as a stepping stone in a lot of fields, but hong kong is actually a example to TaiWan (Even it is not working sooo well) China want to show TaiWan that you could still hav your gov. and other things even if you come back to us when china made the deal with UK to hav Hong Kong back!
