resign同quit有咩分別?

Mostly use Resign for 辭職. Quit the job is just the oral english.
RESIGN-放棄,辭去
The general resigned his commission.

Resign is verbs(vt.,vi.),its polite. Resign 是被動.

Quit is adjective and its a verb. Quit 是主動.
