If there were a dishonest cheque, how to put it in the cash book??

If it is the dishonoured cheque drawn by you for payment, debit cash book to cancel previous payment in cash book because the payment is not vaild.
If it is dishonoured cheque drawn by a debtor, credit cash book to cancel the receipt from debtors.
