英文問題～～

一）
lettuce這個名詞是可作Countable Noun，又可作Uncountable Noun；若你查考各大字典，你會看到詞性之後，有兩個英文字母是C和U，C是解作Countable，而U是解作Uncountable.
那麼甚麼時候作Countable，甚麼時候作Uncountable?
根據第四版牛津高階雙解字典，作為可數名詞的lettuce是：1[C] garden plant with crisp green leaves萵苣；生菜
而作為不可數名詞的lettuce是：2[U] its leaves used as food(esp in salads)生菜葉
所以，我們可以看到，一棵棵的生菜是可數的；而以作為製作其他食物的食材的生菜葉則不可數；所以，要看你用lettuce的意思是甚麼，才可以肯定是否可數
二）
any後面可以跟複數形和單數形
所以，你可以說：Is there any lettuce? 或 Are there any lettuces.

Use 'Is there any lettuce?'

because it is an uncountable noun

Are there any lettuces?

ofcuz you can count it....don't tell me that if you have 2 lettuces on your hand you still don't know how many you have......=0=""" evenmore...if you go to google serch....and typy "two luttuces"...there would be a tale name "two luttuces"...and that's strong enough to prove that you can count it......

everytime you ask if someone has anything....you always use "is there".......... so the first one is right...
