Yesterday, my brother's hamster gave birth to a baby, i think it was dead or something...so we left it with its motehr for a while, the next day it vanished in thin air, we didn't find it anywhere...could they have eaten him or sometihng?

Also can the hamster give birth to a baby and then next day give birth again or do they all come right after each other?

Check of signs of blood. Sometimes rodents eat their babies if there are signs of birth defects. Either that or check under all the bedding stuff...they're so tiny they may be hiding under all the nooks and cranies in the cage. Hamsters typically lay litters of 5-10 babies. It's rare to only have a single birth.

the mom might have stuffed it inside of her cheek but it might not be dead it might be sleeping underneath the bedding so carefully check without touching anything

That is a good possibility, Hamsters, sometimes eat their babies, if they don't recognize them mostly, that is why you should not touch the newborns, if they smell your odor in them they may attack them an eat them! If the mother was a first timer, usually the litter will be scarce.

the mother is probably young, very normal to have poor litter quality. and yes, she probably ate the newborn, its normal even when they are healthy. kinda scary
