Your overall defensive line is really fine and you may further improve on the left with a taller defender because both Lahm and Puyol are not tall enough (5'7 & 5'10) especially against those physical attackers. While Puyol still has the support from Vidic, I would suggest you to replace Lahm with Marcell Jassen (6'3) - he's speedy, aggressive and can play on the whole left flank as Lahm.

You've got a very quick and effective midfield line, just a bit imbalance on the defensive area. Pirlo is a good DM, but not the kind of dogfighter and his physical constraint again restricted him from making some tough markings or tackles. If Arteta is that kind of dogfighter, you would be able to fully utillize Pirlo. Therefore I'd rather have Gerard in and Arteta out. Steven has all that Arteta possesses, plus his gorgeous stamina, good body and defensive mindset, which allow him to on one hand provide the defensive support to both Pirlo and the defend line, and on the other releases Pirlo - especially during counter attack. We all know how accurate and in time Pirlo's long passes are right?

Frontline should be a perfect match. With strenght and speed, skills and killer instinct in the box area - they should be a very productive line with your creative midfielders.
