Hydrogen in most of its compounds has an oxidation number +1, but the oxidation number of hydrohen is -1 in metallic hydrides.Then what is metallic hydrides?

Metallic hydrides are the compounds that formed between hydrogen and metals. The common metal hydrides include KH, NaH, CaH2, LiAlH4, etc.
