我想問reported speech 既野, 唔該

Tom said to Mary"what is this place called?"
--> Tom asked Mary what that place is called.

因為 Tom said to Mary，即係Tom 問 Mary la，所以 --> Tom asked Mary

其實只要明白reported speech 點轉，都唔需要咩練習ga la....

以下係少少解釋，唔明再問la!

Reported Speech 除o左用 said 仲可以用 order/ask/told.......

例如 "Don't eat that fast!" my mother said.
---> my mother ordered me not to eat that fast
my mother told me not to eat that fast

Alan asked, "Where is the bus stop?"
---> Alan asked me where the bus stop is

要注意問句，動詞要放o係subject後面
Where IS the bus stop?
becomes...

where the bus stop IS.

如果有多過一個人，仲可以加名........
例如...... Betty and Alice are in the shop...
Betty said, "I like this flower!"

---> Betty told Alice THAT she likes that flower.

呢個情況要加 that..

Questions:

1. Tom said to Mary, " Do you like eating chocolate?"
Answer: Tom asked Mary if she liked eating chocolate.

2. Tom said to Mary, " I went to the library last night."
Answer: Tom told Mary that he had gone to the llibrary the night before.

3. Tom said, " I have finish my homework already."
Answer: Tom said that he had finished his homework already.

4. Tom said, "I had been to Japan."
Answer: Tom said that he had been to Japan.

* If the sentence is present tense, change into past sence.(e.g.1)
If the sentence is past sence, change into past perfect (e.g. 2)
If the sentence is present perfect, change into past perfect (e.g.3)
If the sentence is past perfect, change into past perfect (e.g.4)

yesterday~the day before
last night ~ the night before
now ~ then
today ` that day
this ~ that
