Hehe good point by Bob. Quite a few GW skeptics basically say "global warming is a hoax because I said so". They disparage climate science experts, or dismiss the research as though they know better.
At least this guy isn't pretending to be open-minded. Though I did look at some of his other answers, and geez, not quite up to genius status.
so how do you explain that in 2005, there were 15 major hurricanes including katrina, breaking the atlantean records by the way and in 2006 there were only 5 major storms? haven't you ever heard of the calm before the storm? but before the calm, there is the hail...
i cannot wait to observe this year's hurricane season and do my odds until the day after tomorrow
You are not old enough to remember but.... About 60 million years ago a rock fell out of the sky into what is now called the Gulf of Mexico. It spewed up enough steam, ash and dirt to create global cooling. Scientists estimate a "night" for about 83 years. Most of the plants died. The animals that fed on plants died. The animals that fed on each other died. All of the warm blooded reptiles died. Some ocean creatures lived. Small mammals lived.
There was a period of warming and about every 5000 years there was a small ice age. Then more warming. Until Asian farmers cleared the forests for crops. This caused the end of the small ice ages. The planet is trying to correct itself and go back to the globally warm climate that existed before the rock fell out of the sky. The people who are trying to prevent global warming are messing with Mother Nature.
